Question 182253: 2x - 5 sqrt x +2 =0
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x - 5 sqrt x + 2 =0
--------
2x - 4sqrt(x) - sqrt(x) + 2 = 0
2sqrt(x)[sqrt(x)-2] - [sqrt(x) -2] = 0
[sqrt(x)-2] [2sqrt(x) -1] = 0
sqrt(x) = 2 or 2sqrt(x) = 1
x = 4 or x = 1/4
