YOU MULTIPLY THE NUMERATORS BY 6(x+1)BECAUSE 6(x+1) IS THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. THIS WILL GET RID OF THE FRACTIONS:
8/(x+1))-(5/2)=(4/(3x+3)) and this equals 8/(x+1))-(5/2)=(4/3(x+1))
