4r=-8.....added 7 to both sides
:
divided both sides by 4 to isolate the variable r
:
-5x+13=-17
:
-5x=-30.....subtracted 13 from both sides
:
divided both sides by -5 to isolate the variable x

4r=-15-7
4r=-22
r=-22/4
r=-11/2 ans.
