this is a nice and simple algebra problem, that utilises the basics. Here goes... just apologies for the * symbol: it confuses more than helps here.
1. we need to get the bottom part of the fraction to the other side of the =, so that everything is "on the top". Since we have a division that we want to "reverse", we have to multiply. And whatever we do to one side of any equation, we have to do to the other side, then we get . The left hand side cancels itself (this is whay we did this).
2. This may look complicated, but what we end up with is . What mathematicians usually say is that we have "cross-multiplied" to move the bottom of the fraction to the top of the equation.
3. Now we have to multiply out the right hand side, to give . This process is all about simplifying all the terms so that we can collect them together later.
4. Now we collect the x terms on one side and the pure numbers on the other side. So, to move the 8x, we effectively subtract 8x from both sides (since one of the basic rules of algebra is "whatever you do to one side, you have to do to the other"). This leaves: .
5. We then need to move the 4 from the right to the left-hand side of the =. Again, we have a +4, so we have to subtract 4 from both sides. This leaves
6. Last thing now is to get from 4 x's to 1 x. To do this we divide by 4: if we know that 4 apples cost £1 then 1 apples is 25p...you divide). And again, we do the division to both sides... .
7. The answer is
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The acceptable solution would be written as:

i had got this answer x=6. becaues how to solve this:12*+4=(4) 2*4+7,=4
(12*+4)=4, (2*+7), (12*+4)= (8*+28, (4*=24)

my answeris: x=6

Answer by Atato(1)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Multiply both sides by (2X+7)
Equation will be: (12X+4)=4(2X+7)
Simplify Right side: (12X+4)=8X+28
Simplify Left Side: 12X+4=8X+28
Moving 8X to left side: 12X-8X+4=28
Moving +4 to Right side: 12X-8X=28-4
Simplifying: 4X=24
Dividing both sides by 4: 4X/4=24/4
X=6

(12x+4)/(2x+7)=4
Factor out the GCF of 4 from each term in the polynomial.
(4(3x)+4(1))/(2x+7)=4
Factor out the GCF of 4 from 12x+4.
(4(3x+1))/(2x+7)=4
Since the variable is in the denominator on the left-hand side of the equation, this can be solved as a ratio. For example, (A)/(B)=C is equivalent to (A)/(C)=B.
(4(3x+1))/(4)=(2x+7)
Reduce the expression (4(3x+1))/(4) by removing a factor of 4 from the numerator and denominator.
(3x+1)=(2x+7)
Check that all solutions found are valid and are part of the domain by substituting them into the original equation.
x=(2x+7)
Remove the parentheses around the expression 3x+1.
3x+1=(2x+7)
Remove the parentheses around the expression 2x+7.
3x+1=2x+7
Since 2x contains the variable to solve for, move it to the left-hand side of the equation by subtracting 2x from both sides.
3x+1-2x=7
Since 3x and -2x are like terms, add -2x to 3x to get x.
x+1=7
Since 1 does not contain the variable to solve for, move it to the right-hand side of the equation by subtracting 1 from both sides.
x=-1+7
Add 7 to -1 to get 6.
x=6
Have a blessed day!!

(12x + 4)/(2x + 7) = 4
Multiply both sides by (2x + 7)
(12x + 4)*(2x + 7)/(2x + 7) = 4(2x + 7)
12x + 4 = 4(2x + 7)
4 * 2x = 8x
4 * 7 = 28
12x + 4 = 8x + 28
Subtract 8x from each side of the equation.
12x + 4 - 8x = 8x + 28 - 8x
Combine like terms:
12x - 8x = 4x
8x - 8x = 0
4x + 4 = 28
Subtract 4 from each side of the equation
4x + 4 - 4 = 28 - 4
Combine like terms:
4 - 4 = 0
28 - 4 = 24
4x = 24
Divide each side by 4
4x/4 = 24/4
x = 6

Answer by KevinSkullxox(4)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Just cross multiply it :
12x + 4 = 4(2x + 7)
So :
12x + 4 = 8x + 28
Shifting :
12x - 8x = 28 - 4
4x = 24

x=6

Answer by shalini.1248(1)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
here's the solution,

12x + 4 = 4(2x+7)
12x + 4 = 8x + 28
12x - 8x = 28 - 4
4x = 24
x = 6
:)

Answer by JimMarshall(82)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
12x + 4 = 4 ( 2x + 7 )
==> 12x + 4 = 8x + 28
==> 12x - 8x = 28 - 4
== > 4x = 24
==> x = 24/4
==> x = 6
