: i dont understand what they are asking me to do, the directions state that i need to solve the formula for the give variable. then it gives me the equation A=2πrh for r, b=2A/h for A, P=2x+2w for x, V=1/3Ar for r.
i really dont understand what they want me to do.

Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve the formula for the give variable. then it gives me the equation
A=2πrh for r,
r = A/(2(pi)h)
--------------------
b=2A/h for A,
2A = bh
A = (bh)/2
--------------------
P=2x+2w for x,
2x = P - 2w
x = (P-2w)/2
--------------------------
V=1/3Ar for r.
3ar = 1/V
r = 1/(3aV)
-----------------
