Question 164593: *+*+*+*=*x*x*x* what it is the value of the star

ok, I prefer to use x's rather than stars just because it is easier on the eyes.
So: we basically get
subtract 4x from both sides and get
Next:factor out an x from x^4 and 4x so:
The statement will be true when either x=0 or (x^3-4)=0
So, how do we know when x^3-4=0???
add 4 to both sides and you get
take the cubed root of each side and you get x= the cubed root of 4
therefore, the star's value can either be 0 or the cubed root of 4
