Graph the equation. Find the constant of variation and the slope of the direct variation model.
y=2x
I know that the constant of variation (or K) is 2, what I cannot figure out is how to determine the slope and then graph it. There are several questions like this and the slope aspect is just not making sense to me. We do not have text books, but I can write in the information from the worksheet: McDougal Littell Algebra 1: Chapter 4 Resource Book, page 68 (worksheet page) for Lesson 4.5

if you plug in values for x, you will see that y changes twice as fast as x

when you graph x and y, you will see a sloping line
