: I'm having trouble with this question:
two travelers were 200 kilometers apart at 2pm and were headed toward each other. If they met at 4:30pm and one was 20 kilometers faster than the other, what was the speed of each traveler?
I know the answer is 30km/h, 50km/h but how do you get the answer?

their combined speed is 200km in 2.5hr or 200/2.5 or 80kph

let x=one speed, so x+20=the other speed

x+x+20=80 __ 2x=60 __ x=30

x+20=50
