Answer by KnightOwlTutor(293) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X=time it takes to travel 175 km/h from fire to pond
Convert minutes into hours
30minutes/60minutes/hour=.5 hour
.5-X=time it takes to travel at 115km/h from pond to fire
Distance traveled is speed*time
175x=115(.5-X)
175X=57.5-115X
Add 115X to both sides
290X=57.5
X=.198 hour
.5-.198 =.301 hour is the answer
check
175(.198)=115(.301)
34.6=34.6
