: I am a homeschooler and am having trouble with a problem. My teachers manual has the solutions but not the steps used to arrive at the solutions. Normally I am able to show my son the steps, but this equation has me stumped. A detailed explanation would be greatly appreciated, as I can't figure out where I am making my mistake (or mistakes).
The equation: x = y / y+4 solve for y
The solution: y = 4x / 1-x
