The difference of two integers is 8. Six times the smaller number is 4 more than 2 times the larger. What are the numbers?
-----------------
Let the two integers be "x+8" and x.
EQUATION:
6x = 2(x+8) + 4
6x = 2x + 20
4x = 20
x = 5 (smaller number)
x+8 = 13 (larger integer)
