Area = Length x Width, or
A = L*W
so L*W = 30, and L = W+1
------
A=LW eqn 1
L=W+1 eqn 2
Sub into eqn for for L
A = (W+1)*W = 30
W^2 + W = 30
W^2 + W -30 = 0
Factor it
(W + 6)*(W-5) = 0
W = -6
W = 5
-------------
A rectangle -6 by -5 makes no sense, so ignore that one.
W = 5
L = 6
