Question 15656: Problem #1: An auto repair bill was $325. This included $85 for parts and $48 an hour for labor. How many hours of labor did the job require?
I realize that 325 minus 85 is 240 and that there would be 5 hours of labor for the job (I think). However, I do not know how to show this written out.
Problem #2: The pressure at a certain depth in the ocean can be approximated by the equation P = 15 + 1/2 D, where P is the pressure in pounds per square inch and D is the depth in feet. Use this equation to find the depth when the pressure is 40 lb/in^2.
