(x-4)/(x+5)>=3
x cannot be -5 because the denominator would be 0. The vertical asymptote is -5.
(x-4)/(x+5)=3
x-4=3x+15 turn the inequality into an equation.
2x=-19
x=-9.5
Now we look at a graph of x-4/x+5 and find out where it is equal to or greater than 3.
We see that the only area where y>=3 is where -9.5<=x<-5 or x[-9.5,-5) ans.
When x>0 y<1
The horizontal asymptote is 1.
