20-(1/3)X = (1/2)X
Multiply thru by 6 to get rid of the denominators:
120 - 2x = 3x
5x = 120
x = 24
--------------------
3-3x (greater than) 12
3-3x > 12
Add 3x to both sides to get:
3 > 3x + 12
Subtract 12 from both sides to get:
3x < -9
x < -3
----------------
4(X + 5) greater than 3x +7
4x + 20 > 3x + 7
x > -13
------------------
0.3x +1.7 =0.2x-0.4(5x+1)
Multiply thru by 10 to get rid of the decimals:
3x + 17 = 2x - 4(5x+1)
x + 17 = -20x -4
21x = -21
x = -1
