Question 142790: Is this correct?
Find the x-coordinate
3x+y=4
x-5y=-6 ----- x=5y-6
Substitute that in the equation 3(5y-6)+y=4 and you get y= 11/8
Substitute 11/8 in the equation 3x+11/8 = 4 and you get x= 7/8
The x-coordinate would be 7/8
Is this correct?
