x+2y=7

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+2y=7
x=7-2y now replace x in the other equation with (7-2y) & solve for y
3x-4y=6
3(7-2y)-2y=6
21-6y-2y=6
-8y=6-21
-8y=-15
y=-15/-8
y=15/8 or 1.875 answer.
x=7-2*1.875
x=7-3.75
x=3.25 answer.
