Question 138725: How do I solve:
1) 1/3f = 4 - 2/3f
2) 3q - 5/8 = 0
Thank you
Maria

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve:
1) (1/3)f = 4 - (2/3)f
Multiply thru by 3 to get:
f = 12 - 2f
3f = 12
f = 4
-------------------
2) 3q - 5/8 = 0
Add 5/8 to both sides:
3q = 5/8
Multiply both sides by (1/3):
q = 5/24
