Question 136843: IF g(x)= 2x^2-2x-4, find the following...
PROBLEM: g(x-2)
how do solve this i understand that i plug (x-2) into all of the x places, yet i do not understand how to go from there?
this is as far as i can get..
2(x-2)^2-2(x-2)-4
DOES THE x-2 THAT IS SQUARED LOOK LIKE (x-2)(x-2) OR SHOULD I DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT? PLEASE HELP

Answer by vleith(2983)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are on the right track.
Plug in (x-2) in all the places where x was.

some folks would be OK with this answer

other folks would want you to state in terms of g(x)
