I'm not at all sure what your problem is. First off, however, you can't do anything within the parentheses, because they are NOT like terms. Do you mean:
. It still doesn't look exactly like most math problems look. Do you have parentheses anywhere else in this problem that I don't have in this? If indeed this is the case, then let's multiply the times the to get .
Next take the times the remaining factor .
If this is NOT the correct statement of your problem, then resubmit the problem and someone will take a look at it for you!
