SOLUTION: I cant find the answer to this, is it a contradiction maybe? Or unsolvable?
13(x+3)=10x+3x-4
My work
13x+39=13x-4
13x+39+4=13x-4+4
13x+43=13x
13x+43-13x=13x-13x
43=x

Question 127742: I cant find the answer to this, is it a contradiction maybe? Or unsolvable?
13(x+3)=10x+3x-4
My work
13x+39=13x-4
13x+39+4=13x-4+4
13x+43=13x
13x+43-13x=13x-13x
43=x
When I put in 43 it does not solve the problem though.
13(43+3)=10(43)+3(43)-4
13(46)=430+129-4
598=555
Thanks for your help!
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOU LEFT OFF THE 10X(^2) TERM????????
13(x+3)=10x^2+3x-4
13X+39=10X^2+3X-4
10X^2+3X-13X-4-39=0
10X^2-10X-43=0
OR:
13X+39=10X+3X-4
13X+39=13X-4
13X-13X=-4-39
0=-43 NO SOLUTION.
