The problem to be solved is perform the indicated operation
3/x+1+2/x-1
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
perform the indicated operation
3/(x+1) + 2/(x-1)
least common denominator is (x+1)(x-1)
=3 (x-1)/lcm + 2(x+1)/lcm
= [3x-3+2x+2]/lcm
= [5x-1]/[(x+1)(x-1)]
