NOW MULTIPLY THE OTHER EQUATION BY -1/2 & ADD THEM.
-X/12-Y/4=-7/2
X/8+Y/4=5

X/8-X/12=5-7/2 ADD THE FRACTIONS BY FINDING A COMMON DENOMINATOR.
(3X-2X)/24=(10-7)/2
X/24=3/2 NOW CROSS MULTTPLY
2X=3*24

36/6+Y/2=7
Y/2=7-36/6
Y/2=7-6
Y/2=1
