Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4ax + 5y = 28
ax + 6y = 26
-------------------
4ax + 5y = 28
4ax + 24y = 104
------------------------- Subtract
-19y = -76
y = 4
================
ax + 6y = 26
ax + 24 = 26
ax = 2
x = 2/a

Hi
a ≠ 0
4ax + 5y = 28
ax + 6y = 26

4ax + 5y = 28
-4ax - 24y = 26(-4)    |Multiplying 2nd EQ by -4 to eliminate x
     y = (28-104)/-19 = 4   and x = 2/a

A. solution set is ( 2/a, 4)  a ≠ 0

B. {(x,y)|x = 2/a}   a ≠ 0

Wish You the Best in your Studies.
