I know the answer is 4. I need to figure out the equation.

Ryan needs 3/4 of a foot to make each step
He had 18ft and had 15 ft left after making steps
He used 18 - 15 ft = 3 ft
3ft/ 3/4 ft = 4 x 3ft/ 3 = 4 steps.
