Question 1170214: What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (2,2) and is parallel to the line x-2y=4?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the line is 2y=x-4 or y=(1/2)x-2
the slope of that line is 1/2
so the slope of the parallel line to it is also 1/2
point slope formula y-y1=m(x-x1) m slope and (x1, y1) point
y-2=(1/2)x-2)
y=(1/2x)+1
