Look at your two equations. One is equivalent to the other. They are basically the same thing.

THOSE TWO equations are equivalent. They represent THE SAME SOLUTIONS. Think about the choices you are trying to make logically.
Do those two equations intersect at one point? Decide "yes" or "no". What does that mean? Why?
