20 * 30 = 600 man/days required to repair the house

But after 6 days 8 men fell sick.
How many days it take to repair the house
let t = additional days required
12 men continued working
(6*20) + 12t = 600
120 + 12t = 600
12t = 600 - 120
12t = 480
t = 480/12
t = 40 additional days
therefore, it required a total of 46 days to complete the job
