Question 1139779: in an artesian aquifer of 8m stick, 10cm diameter well is pumped at a constant rate of 100m per minute. the steady state draw dawn observed in two wells located at 10m and 50m distance from the center of the well are 3m and 0.05m respectively. compute the transmissivity and hydraulic conductivity of the aquifer

.
1. Use the Thiem Equation to estimate the transmissivity T

    T = K*b =  = 10 m;   = 50 m;   = 3 m;   = 0.05 m.

    T = 0.87 m^2/min;  then for conductivity  K =  =  = 0.11 m/min.

2. Actually, such problems are for mature hydrology students or professional hydrogeologists -
    - not for placing / posting to this forum.

3. Do not be amazing my professional knowledge in hydro-geology.

    I worked for many years for hydro-geology engineers in different countries, developing computer software
    and making numerical (computer) simulations for them on groundwater flow and mass transport.

    My highest personal key development was a computer code to simulate lenses of light petrol (hydrocarbon) product
    flowing at the surface of a groundwater flow.

    In the second half of nineties and the first half of 2000-2010 years, these issues were at the forefront
    of the hydro-geology science.
