i)e^2x + 5e^x + 6 = 0
ii) ln (x+4) + ln(x-2) = ln 7
iii) 3 tan^3 (x) - 3 tan^2 (x) - tan (x) + 1 = 0

However, you don't really need to do anything algebraically with this one if you think about it. Both and are always positive, so the left side of the equation is always positive; that of course means the solution set will be empty.

This is a quadratic which you can solve by any of a number of methods.
