Question 109998: 2/3y=60
two over three times y equals sixty
I am not sure how to solve this equation, please show me step by step so that I will be able to do in the future

Answer by beccadancer15(3)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

to get the variable alone on one side of the equal sign,
you multiply both sides by the reciprocal of 2/3 which is 3/2
which will make it
and 60*2/3=40
so
that's it :]
