Question 1097931: A salesman offered to sell a motorcycle for $1,024. A month later his price was $640 and 2 weeks after that he asked $400. Just last week he was willing to sell it for $250. What will his next price be if he make a consistent reduction?
Thank you

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
each time he is selling it for .625 * what it was worth previously.

1024 * .625 = 640 * .625 = 400 * .625 = 250 * .625 = 156.25.

next time, he'll be putting it up for 156.25 if the pattern holds.
