Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. 36 is .75% of
Comment: That % sign means "over 100".
----------------------------
EQUATION:
36 = (0.75/100)x
Multiply both sides by 100 to get:
3600 = 0.75x
Divide both sides by 0.75 to get:
x = 4800
---------------------------------------
2. 10,800 is 90% of
10,800 = (90/100) x
Multiply both sides by 100 to get:
1080000 = 90x
Divide both sides by 90 to get:
x = 12000
