Question 1081398: Simplify if possible
a) 2a - 3b + 4a - 5b
b) n+n+n+n+2n
c) 10m2n - 6m5n+4m2n+2mn2

Answer by math_helper(2461)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a) 2a - 3b + 4a - 5b = 6a - 8b
b) n + n + n + n + 2n = 6n
I hope you see the pattern, just combine like-terms. In (a) we had 2a plus 4a to give us 6a, and the same process was used on the b's. In (b), just count all the n's (keeping in mind 2n is just n + n). I'll leave the last one for you because the formatting is a little messed up.
