x-x/2+2+1/2(x/2-2) = 22
x - x/2 + 1/2(x/2-2) = 20
Multiply thru by 2 to eliminate most fractions.

 ------- Distributing

 ------ Adding 1 to both sides

4x - 2x + x = 84 -------- Multiplying by LCD, 4

3x = 84
