Solve the equation ln (x+5) + ln (x+3) = ln 3 algebraiclly
ln (x + 5) + ln (x + 3) = ln 3
ln [(x + 5)(x + 3)] = ln 3



(x + 2)(x + 6) = 0
x + 2 = 0 OR x = - 6 (ignore)
