That displays very badly because it is written very badly.

and when you put the two equations as a list separated by a comma and use the SYSTEM tags, the display will be .

Now that the two equations are made clear, what you want with them is not told. Two equations in the same variable, both equated to . You can solve each but they may be totally separate equations, not likely a system. Your comment about "flipping" is imprecise.

Try solving your first equation. Use Multiplication Property of Equality, twice.
