Question 1057718: x=4x^3-4x
Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = 4x^3 - 4x
Rearrange this to
4x^3 - 4x - x = 0
4x^3 - 5x = 0
factor out x
x(4x^2 - 5) = 0
x = 0
and
4x^2 = 5
x^2 = 5/4
x = +/-
x = +/- 1.118
