Flying WITH the wind, the total speed =
Flying AGAINST the wind, the total speed =
We then get the following 2 TOTAL-SPEED equations:
S + W = 515 ------- eq (i)
S - W = 450 ------- eq (ii)
Using elimination, you can immediately find S
Substitute value for S into any of the 2 TOTAL-SPEED equations to find W.
