let b=bigger number, s=smaller
b=3s+1
8s-2b=10
8s-2(3s+1)=10 substitute 3s+1 for b.
8s-6s-2=10
2s=12
s=6
b=3*6+1=19
check:
8*6-2*19=10
48-38=10
