.....first eliminate parentheses

.........move to the right and to the left

-3(3x+15)-(10+x)=35
-9x - 45 - 10 -x = 35
-10x -55 = 35
Add 55 to both sides of the EQ
-10x = 90
x = -9
AND
-3(-12) - 1 = 36 - 1 = 35 CHECKS!
