Question 1047266: two cyclists leave a park and ride in opposite directions, one averaging 6 mph and the other 9mph. If they have two ways radios with a 2 mile range, for how many minutes with they remain in radio contact?
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If one is going 6 mph and the other is going 9 mph, then they are getting further apart at a rate of 15 mph. If you divide 15 mph by 60 minutes per hour, you get the speed they are getting further apart in miles per minute. If you then divide 2 miles by the number of miles per minute, you will get the number of minutes it will take them to be 2 miles apart.
