Also not fully clear.

Put in the missing grouping symbols.
(x^2+14x-18)/(2x^2+x-6)=1

That numerator seems to be not factorable. Maybe you could still try to solve the equation for the variable. Your question was about dividing one expression by another. Try POLYNOMIAL LONG DIVISION.
