Question 1035846: Can you determine the degree plus the leading coefficient of this equation?

A.) degree = 4, leading coefficient = 3
B.) degree = 3, leading coefficient = 6
C.) degree = 2, leading coefficient = 2
D.) degree = 0, leading coefficient = -2

As I said before (https://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/playground/test.faq.question.1035781.html), we assign degrees to *polynomials*, not equations.

You can rearrange it to . The left-hand side of the equation is a polynomial with degree 4 and leading coefficient 3.

However the equation is completely equivalent to . Again, the left-hand side of the equation is a polynomial, but its degree is 5 and its leading coefficient is 99.
Response to your comment: I have a BS in mathematics, and have experience tutoring math up to and including calculus, so hopefully I know what I am talking about.
