.
If A-B=30 and A+B=60 find the value of A and B
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A - B = 30,    (1)
A + B = 60.    (2)
Once you see two equations like (1) and (2), add them immediately. You will get
2A = 30 + 60 = 90 --->  A =  = 45.
Thus you just found one unknown.
Now from (2)  B = 60 - A = 60 - 45 = 15.
The problem is solved.  A = 45, B = 15.
