Arithmetic progression with the first term 10000 and the common difference 1000.

You are asked about its 365-th term. It is

10000 + (365-1)*10000 = 10000 + 364*1000.

You can learn on arithmetic progressions from the lesson Arithmetic progressions in this site.

Question: when the first $1000 came? On the day 1 (one) or on the day 2 (two)? It is not clear from the condition.

My solution assumes that the first $1000 came on the day 2.

The other tutor assumed it came on the day 1.

This uncertainty goes from your condition.
