b + 4 = g

Answer by ikleyn(52781)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
b + g = 26
b + 4 = g
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Substitute the expression g = b + 4 from the second equation into the first one. You will get
b + (b+4) = 26,   or
2b + 4 = 26,      and then
2b = 26 - 4 = 22.
Hence, b =  = 11.
At last, g = b + 4 = 11 + 4 = 15.
