Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From
8^(x+2) = 16^x
we try to get the bases the same...since 8 = 2^3 and 16 = 2^4, we have
2^3(x+2) = 2^4x
and then
3(x+2) = 4x
3x + 6 = 4x
x = 6
