Question 188692: I am having a difficult time with finding the formula for additive counting and finding the answer the following problem. Could someone please show me using the correct formula how to solve this problem. The question is: How many counting numbers less than 46 are divisible by 3 or 5.

Question 198428: We know that for a number to be divisible by 3, we have to add up the individual digits and check if it is divisible by 3, for example, 21 is divisible by 3 as the digits 2+1=3 is divisible by 3. Without the calculator, are there ways to check divisibility by 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9?

Question 206084: Could you please help me understand how I would check for divisibility by 45.
I thought you would first check for divisibility of 5 in the number and then I thought if you added the numbers together and they combined to give you a total of 9 then the number would be divisible by 45 but this worked for a lot of numbers I tried but then I tried 31120110 and it is not divisible by 45 so that puts my theory out.
Could you explain how I would check for divisibility of 45.
