Without more context, my guess as to the meaning of k and m is almost a wild guess.
For divisibility and prime factoring, I would use k and m to mean whole numbers.
Then, I would represent even numbers (multiples of 2) as 2k, odd numbers as 2k%2B1, and multiples of 3 as 3m.
The meaning of your k and m has to have been defined at some point (maybe a couple of pages/lessons back).
